An Atypical Easter Bunny

I know you get tired of my remember when blogs, but this one I couldn't resist.

I was never a real fan of Bonanza, but my folks were. We used to rush home from Sunday night service so we could watch Ben and his boys try to set their world right.

There was one episode that I will never forget, I've only seen it once or twice, and that was on the Bonanza Sunday night show. Because today is Easter Sunday I must "go there".

I don't remember the particulars, but I do seem to remember a family that had very in theway of luxury , but there was lots of love. It was coming on Easter and Hoss (my favorite) was worried that the Easter Bunny would not pay these children a visit. It was a regular Bonanza type show until.... Long 'bout sunrise, off in the near distance, we see a very large "Bunny" dressed in pink long johns and big floppy ears, hiding colored eggs out in the meadow. OMG, what a nudge my heart felt then and still does at that memory. Do any of you remember this episode.

Every year we watch for this show and every year we are disappointed. It's kind of like waiting for the WKRP Turkey day fiasco. I wish they would replay this particular Bonanza. It showed the true character of Hoss, our gentle giant.

God bless you Dan Blocker.

I liked the episode where Hoss was seeing Leprechauns. Classic.
Adam was my favorite, for some reason
