Wrong Cartridge! RATS!

I have finally begun the long process of putting together a scrapbook for Miss K. If you have taken on a project like this you know what a pain it can but, but sadist that I am, I love working, putting them together. I owe my son one but have been unable to find the right album, it has to be right or it doesn't flow. I have been working on CK's for years, her album just jumped into view and went home with me.
Miss K's book is hot pink with little white polka-dots on it.

We got our digital cameras before Miss K was born my first was a Sony box(it used floppies) and graduated to a fine Kodak in 2004. What is the problem? You have to print out the photos, and we bought the wrong color ink cartridge. Now I have to wait until payday (yes, retired people have a payday too). Rats! So I'm planning, scheming on what to put together. I hate these delays! They disrupt the creative juices.

I was watching the convention from bed last night, I have issues with sleep, it doesn't want to happen. Michelle Obama had just finished her speech, so I went to find DaddyKaos, he had been watching also. The first words out of my mouth were,"To hell with Barrack, I want to vote for Michelle." He breaks out in a great big grin and belly laugh, with tears in his eyes he says,"Yep, and that is your blog for tomorrow." Those of you who know DK know that the big grin and hearty laugh don't come from him very often. You might says he gives a good impression of a sourpuss.
So DK here it is.

I would vote for Michelle in a heartbeat. She is wise , knowledgeable, loving and supportive of her husband and family. She seems to have a real grasp of what is going on in this country. What it is, isn't, could be, should be, and can be. She expects her husband to do his part to make this a better country, but she also expects all of us to do our part, not just in electing Barrack as the next president but to help battle what ails our world.

Michelle will be/is a real asset Barrack. He is lucky to have her and are we .

In search of ChickFillet

Long ago (28 years) and far away in a land ruled by cattle, oil, and Football (Houston, Texas) a young family (early Kaos, before the name was used) was sent out a mission to try and earn a living.
Oh, alright, about 28 years ago DaddyKaos was promoted and transfer (the first of many such moves) to Houston, Texas for a now defunct railroad. While there we discovered a wonderful fast food restaurant by the name of Chick Fillet. It was a mall food place, and was closed on Sundays, but that was okay, alot of things were closed on Sundays, or if they were open you couldn't buy certain things (blue laws).

The purpose of this fairy tale is that they had a wonderful chicken sandwich and waffle fries. There was nothing on this sandwich but dill pickles and butter, the waffle fries were fantastic, they even had a special seasoning packet for the fries, anyway. When you moved back to Fresburg,CA. we were able to find ChickFillets from time to time, still closed on Sundays, but no big deal.

Then disaster struck, the franchises started closing down, and ChickFillet almost disapeared. Miracle of miracle they were in a PNW metropolis, this was cool.

One fine day Droid Whisperer and I went to see the original "Shrek", we were going to have lunch at ChickFillet, THEY HAD CLOSED THE STORE! No place could we find our favorite snack, meal. SH........T!

I digress, recently we have been seeing an advertisement for a chicken sandwich from Micky D's. Today DaddyKaos is painting the infamous bathroom, he finishes the primer and says," I'm hungry and there isn't anything here to eat without cooking, will you go get something", ( since he always goes for me when I ask it's no big deal) " What do you want, TB, Pizza?", "No, DO you want to try that new chicken sandwich, the one that sounds like ChickFillet? But without CHEESE!"

To shorten this already too long post, I went. The sandwich is a close match to our ChickFillet dream, they don't have waffle fries but what the heck. For those of you who don't know, WE DON"T GO TO MICKY D's ever. Unhealthy food like crazy, but sometimes you need to make an exception.

The "late" worrier

Everyday this week I have been working on DaddyKaos' bathroom. Monday was getting the first layer of paper off of the walls, step ladder required, standing on counter, etc. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, spraying and scraping second layer of paper, same tools and gymnastics required. Where was DaddyKaos? At the golfcourse. Now I did tell him I would remove the paper and prep the walls for him to paint, it's my thing. When I patch, I'm much neater and smother, and it requires less sanding,so that was cool.

Today DK returns from the neighborhood hardware store with sandpaper to smooth out the walls. I'm standing on the counter and ask him to hand me the spackle. He hands it to me and says," don't step back. (duh) I'm going out to mow the lawn, will you be alright?", "Yes, and I have my phone if I need help.", "Well, I don't have mine, maybe I better stay inside incase you need me."

I don't know why my jaw didn't drop, all week I've been in the same "danger" and he didn't worry, men,go figure. Did you read DK's blog about the stupid zone? I guess it really does exsist.

At least I know he was concerned. A little late.

Do Muslims Love Bacon?

Since I can't seen to gain access to post a comment on this site, I'll go this route. To all out there that still seem to believe that Barak Obama is a closet Muslim, this should convince you. If he can't leave the good stuff alone, you know he can't pass as believer in Islam.

DaddyKaos

Bacon Rules

In my family we love bacon. One of my most cherished memories is of my Grandma P. frying up a mess of bacon and serving it to my sister and I on her back porch. This wouldn't be a significant memory for most people, but my father died shortly after that and these memories few are precious.

The only reason that came up is we love bacon. Anyhooo...

This morning I was tube surfing and saw Michelle Obama on "The View". I don't normally watch this show, but I stopped in for a visit with our future First Lady (please). A nutritionist was on the show giving advise on healthy foods to eat for breakfast. The Ladies were all listening and thinking this gal wasn't so bad. Until she got to the bacon. The holy of holy breakfast meat.
"Go for the Canadian bacon, or the Jennie'O Low Fat trukey bacon."
Michelle says," Oh no, we are bacon eaters, Barrack loves his bacon." (something like that) , the nutritionist says try to eat the Jenni'O. Turns out they all love the bacon. She tries to convince them otherwise. Out of nowhere comes Whoopie and she says "Leave the bacon alone, we love the bacon." Then she sneaks back off stage. The funniest thing to see.

Anyway, another reason to vote Obama, He loves the bacon. I have heard worse reasons for supporting the other guy. YEAH BACON !

Home is where your stuff is.

I returned home last week after a two week stay with my Granddaughter and other family members. While I truly want to move closer to my family right now my home is here in the mid-west. DaddyKaos is here and all my stuff too!

By stuff I mean my bed that holds me just right, my bathroom, where I know where everything is in the dark with my eyes closed, and my beautiful kitchen where I can cook and clean to my hearts content.

Don't get me wrong I appreciate my bathroom in the PNW, the kitchen is functional but crowded, and the bed is great, but they aren't mine.

Today I finally felt good enough to tackle a project. Stripping the paper off the bathroom wall. It isn't a fun job, but with the help of a paper tiger (thank you CamiKaos) I got a good start.

So, I sit down to relax for a minute, my phone rings, Our new Realtor asks if we can have an open house this Sunday. I say that would be okay but I just got half the paper off the wall. Oh, well we will aim for Sunday in two week then. She doesn't know me yet, but when I say I'll do it, no grass grows under my feet.

So now I have a deadline, I work better with one of those.

Tomorrow DaddyKaos will help with his bathroom before he trots off his 1:00 Tee Time. Thats when the mess work will begin. Vinegar water and wide blade putty knives.

Then we get to paint. That is DaddyKaos's job.

Nothing but respect.

I must say I have nothing but respect for those of you who are able to come up with an interesting topic to write about day after day.

Even as a child my imagination ran wild but if you put pencil and paper in front of me and said, "Write." I would be lucky to get my name and the date right. Something about a blank page that intimidates me.

My sisters would tell you that I jump up on my soap box pretty good, sometimes I get so involved in what I'm saying I either fall off the box or break it to kindling. For that I must really feel what I'm saying.

I'm staring to wrap up a visit to my favorite place. I've been visiting with my children and granddaughter. I don't ever call these trips a vacation, we are busy from the time I get here until I leave.

This year we were preparing for the annual Tiki Party.

A good time was had by all. Chi-chi and Dr. Normal's band did a great job making music, Uncle B sat in and jammed during the break. We had good food provided potluck style . I think we all had a good time. But my favorite part of the party came on time. When everybody goes home and all is slowly going back to normal.

My GD is sitting next to me watching cartoons while I finish this. I don't want to keep her waiting, time is too precious.

neophite blogger; patience please.

Due to family pressure I, NanaKaos, am embarking upon a blog experiment. Feed back welcome, but please don't slam me too hard. I'm not a writer I'm a lover of family. My talents lie elsewhere.
